SAT MARCH 29

Stirling Youth Gaitherin’

Sat 29 Mar, 3 – 4pm
Free

The scene is very much alive in Stirling with lots of young people interested in and playing traditional music.

Stirling Council’s Children’s Services, funded through the Youth Music Initiative, currently have two groups working with the next generation of players. The RSAMD run classes on a Saturday morning in Callander with tutors Jeana Leslie (song, fiddle, accordion), Sara Cull (fiddle) and Michelle Stewart (Bodhran). While the Cultural Co-ordinator programme in partnership with the Tolbooth run classes here on a Monday evening with tutors Lori Watson (fiddle), Claire Mann (whistle/flute) and Ewan MacPherson (guitar).

This special Blend Festival Youth Gaitherin’ will feature performances from both of these groups.  Come along to hear how they are getting on and maybe see the young stars of the future.
